How do I get a persistent link for an electronic item?

People often want to save a link to a database webpage so they can get back to that resource at a later time, Unfortunately, some databases do not have stable URLs. That means that if you copy the URL from the browser address bar, the link will not take you back to the page at a later time. Instead you must find and copy the persistent link for that page. The following instructions show how to do that for EBSCO databases, including the Discover@MSU Search and Academic Search Complete.

EBSCO Databases

Search for you article.

Search query in search box

Choose an article from your search results:

Select the article and locate the Permalink option under Tools on the right hand side:
